Your Personal Profile: First Impressions Matter
Set up your photo, title, and credentials so clients see a professional face — not a blank avatar.
Your personal profile is the first thing a client sees when they open the portal. A blank avatar and an empty bio don't exactly scream "hire me." Let's fix that in about two minutes.
Where to find it
Head to Settings → My Profile. You'll see a completion percentage at the top — aim for at least 80%.
The essentials
Photo. Upload a clear headshot or your company logo. This appears on the client portal, in messages, and on your team page if you're part of a company.
First name and last name. Pretty straightforward. These show up everywhere — PDFs, portal, emails.
Job title. "Licensed Master Electrician," "Journeyman Electrician," whatever fits. This displays as a badge next to your name in the portal.
Bio. Keep it short — two or three sentences about your experience, your approach, or what makes you different. Clients actually read this.
The professional details
Certifications — add them as tags (e.g., "NEC Certified," "OSHA 30"). They show up on your profile card.
Specialties — same format. "Residential Rewiring," "EV Charger Installation," "Commercial Fit-Outs."
Years of experience — a simple number, but it builds trust fast.
Languages — useful if you serve multilingual communities.
Visibility controls
Two toggles at the bottom:
Profile visible to clients — turn this on. If it's off, clients only see your name and role.
Show phone / Show email — your call. Some electricians prefer clients to go through the portal messaging instead.
For electrical companies
Every team member has their own My Profile. When you assign a technician to a project, the client sees that person's profile on the portal — their photo, title, certifications, and contact info (if enabled). So make sure your team fills theirs out too.
Quick tip
Hit the Preview button to see exactly what your client sees. It's the same card that appears on the portal.
